We are pleased to inform you about the consolidation and further strengthening of the investment banking and asset management activities within the Emirates Bank Group in keeping within our vision of being amongst top 3 players in the GCC region.

A new integrated investment management entity within the Group under the name of EIS is being established. This new entity will be formed through the integration of the current asset management divisions of Emirates Financial Services (EFS) and Emirates Bank International (EBI). The new entity, EIS will operate from the Dubai International Financial Centre ('DIFC') and will offer a broad spectrum of investment products and services under a single umbrella.

"EIS Asset Management" will be headed by Mr. Deon Vernooy, who has been involved with the asset management industry for 20 years. He will be supported by a management team of more than 40 investment specialists, coming from over twelve different countries, representing a wide array of expertise in all major international financial markets, making it one of the largest asset management businesses in the region.

The EIS Asset Management core strategy is to provide top-quality investment services across the GCC region by offering best in class products and services with an expanded product shelf comprising both Islamic as well as conventional products in all major investment categories.

In view of the excellent historical performance of the EBI investment funds, we are confident that EIS Asset Management will continue to outperform the market and help grow our retail, corporate and institutional customer franchise through the provision of tailor made solutions to these targeted customer segments.
